Baby stuff!

Now that we're that things are actually materializing, it's getting so much more exciting. Last weekend Tai and I went to Babies R Us and I swear that place is meant to scare people into not having kids. It's a sea of of bright colors, animals, patterns, this and that - it can make anyone's head spin. Luckily, I've been reading "Baby Bargains" and it gave me an idea of what's really not necessary and how to get the most bang for the buck. I was surprised that Tai wanted to go with me, knowing that he doesn't like shopping. Well, of course 20 minutes into the store he began to get fidgety but he hung in there. I think we were there for 40 minutes tops, because then I was fidgety too :) So it looks like we finally narrowed down our baby décor colors to brown, orange, accented with lime green and, what else but monkeys. I wanted something gender neutral but also something something a little different. I got inspired my nurseries I saw on HGTV's Rate My Space and decals from etsy.com. Since Tai cleaned out the nursery space, the only thing left to do is shop, shop!

This weekend Tai and I went to Conneticut and saw my brother and his high school advisors. It was so nice to get away from our daily routine and spend time with friends and family. Ms. Davidsson made us two of the cutest baby blankets by crocheting (pic above). I'm so touched by this hand-made gift that it almost made me cry . .. not that it's very difficult to do nowadways :)
Yay for baby stuff!
